Influence of Self-Esteem of Early Childhood Education College Students on Resilience and Creative Personality

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of self-esteem of early childhood education and college students on resilience and creative personality. The subjects of this study were 180 students in the first, second, and third graders of B university students in A city. Statistical analysis of the study was performed using the SPSS WIN 21.0v program. The results of this study were as follows: First, there was a significant relationship between self-esteem and resilience of pre-service early childhood teachers. There was a significant correlation between resilience and creative personality, which is a sub-factor of resilience. But there was no significant correlation between self-esteem and creative personality. Second, self-esteem of pre-service early childhood teachers showed a statistically significant effect on resilience. Third, it was found that self-assertiveness, which is a sub-factor of self-esteem of pre-service early childhood teachers, affects creative personality, and that higher self-assertiveness increases creative personality. Therefore, it is suggested that improving self-esteem of pre-service early childhood teachers is a way to improve the quality of early childhood education by enhancing the professionalism of early childhood teachers.
